Shaving Brushes

Edwin Jagger Limited offer shaving brushes with a number of different fills, including synthetic fibre. Shaving brushes come in different grades, with the highest grade having the finest and softest hairs. If you prefer a stiffer, coarser feel to your brush, we would suggest a black synthetic shaving brush. If you like a soft and luxurious feeling brush, we would recommend a synthetic silver tip shaving brush.

Previously, synthetic shaving brushes could not rival the lathering qualities of natural badger hair. However, advancements in synthetic fibres have come a long way in recent years and it is now possible to achieve a similar level of performance with a synthetic shaving brush. Also, no animal product is used in the production of a synthetic shaving brush, making them ideal for vegetarian or vegan shavers.

A shaving brush produces a thick and creamy lather which is simply impossible to recreate with your fingers. The construction of the shaving brush with hundreds, if not thousands, of individual hairs allows it to hold plenty of water and agitate the soap or cream at many different points, creating a wonderfully unctuous and luxurious lather.
