Orders shipped from the Edwin Jagger Website to the EU are sent from the UK via Royal Mail. As the UK is outside the EU, your local customs authority or postal service may charge import duties, taxes, customs processing fees and/or handling charges before delivery. These charges are set by the destination country, are outside of our control, and are the responsibility of the recipient.
What is changing?
From 1 July 2026, the European Union has introduced a new customs processing charge for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) parcels valued at under €150 entering the EU.
The new charge is €3 per item line and applies to goods imported from non-EU countries, including the UK. The EU has stated that this is a temporary measure while wider customs reforms are implemented.
How does this affect my order?
We are registered with the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme. This means that VAT on eligible orders under €150 continues to be collected at the time of purchase. However, the new €3 customs processing charge may still be collected by your local customs authority or postal service before delivery.
Please note that this charge is applied per item line, not per parcel.
Example:
If your order contains:
Each item line would incur a €3 charge, resulting in a possible customs processing charge of €9.00 payable before delivery.

As customs procedures may vary between EU countries, we recommend checking with your local customs authority for country-specific guidance.
