Razor Head

Well known in the world of wet shaving for the iconic DE89 razor head, Edwin Jagger introduces a new material for the 3ONE6 along with a completely new, advanced head design.

The raised rails on the base plate create the ideal position for the blade, refined through years of experience and extensive testing. This allows the razor to shave equally effectively from multiple angles. It is compatible with all popular DE razor blades on the market and has been designed to perform exceptionally with any blade choice. The 3ONE6 produces minimal blade feel to ensure a comfortable, premium shaving experience.

The carefully designed layout of the locating pins minimizes movement of the blade when secured between the top and bottom plates, makes the razor easy to assemble, and increases blade edge stability during shaving.

The gently ridged skin guards on the outer edges of the base plate lightly stretch facial skin to create an even shaving surface and prepare beard hair for the blade. Excess shaving lather and cut hair are efficiently channeled away through four lather slots to help prevent clogging during use. These features contribute to a smooth, quick, and effortless shave.

The two-part razor head is the first double-edge safety razor head to be produced in the UK using 100% metal injection molding (MIM). MIM is a manufacturing process that combines pure metal powders with binding materials to allow precise injection and shaping. This carefully formulated mix is then injected into specialized Edwin Jagger tooling under extreme pressure and heat to create small, complex precision components. MIM allows for extremely fine manufacturing tolerances and minimizes weaknesses caused by directional material flow.

The central screw thread is exceptionally strong and forms an integral, durable part of the top plate. The characteristics created by the engineered tooling have been enhanced to highlight the advanced manufacturing techniques used in producing this remarkable razor.

The fully continuous CNC machines used by Edwin Jagger produce each component in a single process, enhancing the smooth curves of the pieces and elevating the overall elegant design.

The range of colorful handles available for the Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor are made from aerospace-grade anodized aluminum and offer a bold, stylish finish. Lighter in weight than the fully stainless steel version, this material has been specifically selected for its excellent machining qualities and finishing processes, as well as its resistance to impact damage. The anodizing process creates a durable surface that withstands everyday handling and prevents oxidation, further increasing longevity. It also adds a subtle texture that enhances grip.

Production Processes

The Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor is the first commercially produced razor of its type made in Sheffield using components machined from genuine Sheffield-forged 316-grade stainless steel.

In addition to MIM and CNC production methods, the components of the handle and two-part head undergo a series of finishing processes. The attractive surface is achieved through two separate machine and chemical treatments commonly used in medical equipment manufacturing. This results in a smooth, clean, and bright finish free from impurities, revealing the optimal characteristics of the stainless steel. Each component goes through at least six production stages and six individual inspection processes before final packaging. Every razor is polished and packed by hand by dedicated craftspeople in Sheffield.

Packaging

The premium packaging for the 3ONE6 is also 100% made in the UK and designed with user experience in mind. The box slides open and locks into place, revealing the individual razor components through a viewing window. Each piece is securely held in a high-density foam insert made from recycled materials.

The user can enjoy assembling the razor for the first time and is encouraged to inspect each component individually.
