Each Chatsworth shaving brush is hand polished before delivery to achieve a refined shine that highlights the intricate barley pattern.

With a knot size of 21mm (0.8”), this brush is considered medium-sized, making it ideal for most users. Whether you prefer a larger or smaller brush is a matter of personal preference, but this balanced size effectively holds a good amount of water and soap while still providing excellent control and precision. The handle measures 50mm (2.1”) tall and 33mm (1.3”) in diameter, fitting comfortably in nearly any hand and offering a secure grip even when lathering with wet or soapy hands.

Silvertip is the highest-quality grade of badger hair available. Collected from the neck of the animal, the hairs are finely graded, sorted, and hand tied to create an incredibly soft knot made entirely from untrimmed silvertip hairs. The craft of hand filling the bundle is highly specialized, and the distinctive even black band topped with pure white tips reflects the level of workmanship required to produce a silvertip shaving brush. The natural tips of each hair are exceptionally gentle on the skin, creating a luxurious, massaging sensation on the face. Because the hairs are so fine, a greater number of hairs is needed to achieve the desired knot density. Each bundle contains more than 18,000 individual badger hairs, creating a firm knot that still effectively exfoliates the skin and prepares the beard for shaving. Silvertip badger hair is the softest of all grades and is also known for its ability to retain large amounts of water, allowing the brush to consistently produce a dense, creamy lather.

Clean your brush thoroughly between uses to keep it in top condition for as long as possible. After shaving, rinse the brush in hot water, shake off any excess moisture, and hang it on a stand with the bristles pointing downward. If you do not have a stand, store the brush upright rather than laying it flat so air can circulate through the bristles and allow it to dry naturally.  Do not use this brush with shaving oil.
