I'm new to double-edge safety razor shaving. My son-in-law enticed me away from the heavily marketed Trac-* world. He uses this same model and I must say I've been pleased. The weight of the razor serves both to keep the blade moving and as a thermal mass that keeps things warm. It's easy to clean and, to all appearances, should last forever. Oh, and the blades are much more affordable...
