As always, excellent experience.
This is my second time of purchasing EJ razor. Good quality and absolute fine color and polishing of the horn handle. My last razor was made by marble which is slightly heavier, so horn handle is more handy and more suitable for people who like lighter in weight.

I'm not massively familiar with horn in its natural state but this imitation horn looks lovely. I shall compare it with a goat next time I'm near one, but I have no doubt it will stand close comparison.

- First DE Razor
-
I've been wet shaving with soap-bowl and brush for over 30 years but have always used cartridge razors. Due to the ever increasing cost of cartrdige blades I decided to try a DE razor. Edwin Jagger is a brand I'm familiar with and I chose the Chatsworth based on the handle shape and horn design which matches my shaving brush. (It was also on sale and included 5 Feather blades and with the provided discount code and free next day delivery offered a decent saving over RRP).
Having read warnings online about the use of Feather blades by DE novices I was initially aprehensive but decided to give it a go. For my first attempt I did a double pass and the Chatsworth handled very nicely although some adjustment in technique is required; the trick is to use small, light strikes with zero pressure. My concerns about the blades were unfounded and I achieved a close shave with only two nicks which were easily sorted with an Alum block.
Overall I'm pleased with the razor and I'm sure I'll be back again soon!Quality Price Value

- The ferrari of DE razor
-
Decided to go back to DE razor, about 2 months ago and bought a Parker 96 Daytona, which I found quite aggressive on the skin.
So I decided to shop around and read reviews about all sort of razor and trust me it's a mind field.
Even watching some youtube channel added to the ocnfusion, except for PaulHFilms, who called it the Ferrari of DE razors. I then contacted Edwin Jagger's customer support, to recommend a razor, that would offer a close shave, but while not being so agressive, as I have coarse beard.
They recommended their DE89, but I kept looking at the Chatsworth Horn razor for a few weeks, after which my wife got frustrated looking at me being undecided. She convinced me to go for the one I really wanted, which I then did and guess what NO REGRETS.
I can honestly say this is the only double edge razor you will ever need, once you buy this razor you will not want to try anything else. When I did the first pass, it didn't feel like a close shave as it was very mild, until I checked the razor and my cheek.
It gave me a really close shave, while feeling very mild and gave me no razor burns, skin irritation.
The craftsmanship finish and quality on this beauty of a DE razor, is second to none.
Again this is the only razor you'll ever need and as someone else said on their review, once you buy this, you'll feel disappointed with other razors.Quality Price Value

- Great razor

I was apprehensive about the DE razors as I had never used one - but after a month I have yet to even knick myself. I'm sure this has something to do with the quality of the Chatsworth. Looks great, nice balance and weight, very happy.

This is an outstanding razor. It improves on the regular DE considerably with the addition of the longer handle, making a very good product excellent. To give you some idea of how highly I think of it, this is my 3rd Chatsworth razor! I have one in ebony and one in ivory to match this one in horn. And they are all working fine!!!
My only concern is with the longevity of the product hence duplicates. There are reports of the head breaking off at the screw point but thankfully nothing like this has happened to me. I am quite careful with these razors and make sure that I don't put them anywhere where they can fall etc.
The razor was packed very nicely and would be suitable as a gift...and it came with a box of Feather blades, which IMHO are far better than the Derby blades I got with my earlier razors. (I use the Feather blades exclusively with these razors, BTW)Quality Price Value
